Deleting data or account

Deletion from the app

The fastest way is to delete the account directly from the app:

1. Open Edible Lens and sign in to your account.
2. Go to the Profile section.
3. Tap the Delete account option.
4. Confirm the operation.

Deletion is immediate and definitive: all data associated with your account is permanently removed.

Deletion via email

Alternatively, you can request the deletion of data or account by writing to support@ediblelens.app. In the message, indicate the email address associated with the account. We will act on the request within a reasonable time.

Which data is deleted

When the account is deleted, the data linked to it is removed, including profile information (email and display name) and the saved personal herbarium.

Data that may be retained

Contributions to the community map are already anonymous and aggregated and are not attributable to your identity. Minimal data may also be retained where required by technical, legal or security obligations, for only as long as necessary.
